Before commencing Prompt Safety Solutions as a consultancy business in September 2013, Steve worked in the construction industry for a global construction & engineering company as an Work Health & Safety Manager, overseeing projects. This along with practical ground floor experience in various industries has been invaluable in understanding what creates positive worksite behaviour and safety culture. TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More.

 

Steve is passionate about safety and views all employees and every workplace with the attitude that there are families depending on their loved ones to come home safely. This was reinforced working with Kristie, Nicole and Leon on the largest alumina refinery expansion project in the South West, which employed over 3000 people and undertaken in the operating refinery. A safe workplace is no accident.

 

The key to achieving a safe workplace is to build a strong safety culture with a well trained and competently supervised workforce, supported by proactive management who see safety as a core value in their business. This is achieved through the implementation of Safety Management Systems that not only meet WHS legislation requirements, but are empowering, practical and duplicatable.  Good Safety is Good Business.

 

20 years of experience as small business owner in the Agricultural, Manufacturing and Domestic sectors prior to entering the mining and construction industry has provided an understanding of the benefits of tailoring WHS Systems to meet clients unique requirements and expectations for their particular business circumstances and budget. It’s got to be practical.

 

When not at work Steve loves spending time with family, being outdoors and being based in the Great Southern Wheatbelt, loves a big feed of yabbies.

Qualifications: Diploma in OH&S, Diploma of Quality Auditing, Cert IV Training and Assessment, Behaviour Based Safety Facilitator, ICAM Lead Investigator, HLTPAT005  Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing, DG, LF, WP, Work Safety at Height, Enter and Work in Confined Spaces.

Leon Taylor

Leon - "Planner" pretty well sums up his personality. It sits perfectly within the Traffic Planning Services that he provides. Leon draws upon his 8 years of Traffic Management and planning experience including four years in the sun and rain as a Traffic Controller. This practical experience on the ground where the action happens has given him a depth of knowledge, insight and understanding of Traffic Management planning in the field, in real time. This practical background ensures a superior and professional service for Prompt Safety Solutions Clients.

Having worked in high risk industries all of his life, including drilling, construction, mining/earthmoving and traffic management, Leon understands the consequences of poor or inadequate risk assessment and planning. With Leon, there is no compromise. The safety of Prompt Safety Solutions clients and the general public is paramount in every Traffic Management plan that he produces. A safe worksite is no accident.

 

Leon is passionate about providing safe and practical Traffic Planning solutions to suit clients specific requirements, whilst meeting Main Roads specifications and Australian Standards and has built solid respect and professional network throughout the industry and in state and local government and private sectors. Leon  applies meticulous care and diligence to his trade and is extremely passionate and displays enormous pride in his approach to Traffic Management planning.

Leon greatest passion though is being a very devoted and hands on father and family man. His early 70,s muscle cars and other restoration projects are right up there as well. He thinks outside of the square and is always striving to improve in his craft. It is exciting having Leon on board the Prompt Safety Solutions Team.

Prompt Safety Solutions is proud to have Nicole on the team with her diverse experience which has seen her work in safety, a decade of training for registered training organisations, Local Government, creative design, retail management, hospitality and even sound engineering!

Nicole brings innovative thinking and progression to the “Prompt” brand, currently managing online services and the Worker (Contractor) Record System.
